Stealth Mods and Powers[edit]
For missions where stealth is either optional or required, the Noir Suit’s Sound of Silence power is great for when you get spotted, or want to take out an enemy loudly but don’t want his friends to hear about it.
There’s only three mods that boost your stealth, which is perfect for the three Suit Mod slots - The Long Range Scanner can help detect enemies wherever they may be hiding across an encounter allowing you to devise a plan to take them out, and the Bio Scanner will keep them placed on the map until the fighting really starts. Add the Silent Step mod to the mix and you’ll be able to stay out of detection longer so you can choose when the melee really begins.
Just be sure to swap out these mods when you go from sneaking to punching, as they are very situational.
Defensive Mods and Powers[edit]
If you’re having trouble staying alive in combat, there are a few suit powers to choose from. The repaired Classic Suit’s Web Blossom is a great way to stave off death by stunning everyone around you, and even sticking people to walls if you find yourself near them, giving you breathing room to plan your next attack.
If ranged weapons are really starting to annoy you, consider the MK2 Suit’s Bullet Proof power to ignore the gunshots while you focus on punching, or the MK3 Suit’s Titanium Alloy Plates can reflect gunfire back at them.
As for Suit Mods, there are plenty to pick from, depending on what’s troubling you the most. Gel Padding and Charged Outer Mesh will not only dampen melee attacks, but lash back out at them for when you have trouble dodging out of the way, and Ballistic Inserts are great for when your Suit Power is recharging to survive gunfire. If you are getting adept at dodging, Discharge Power Cells can turn defense into offense and boost your power after a perfect dodge, letting them make the first move for you to counter with better damage.
Offensive Mods and Powers[edit]

When you’ve got the hang of combat enough to reliably survive everything they can throw at you, and want to take them out even faster, there’s a lot of good powers to choose from. The Advanced Suit’s Battle Focus is great for the entire game - it lets you boost focus to heal away any hits or quickly perform Instant Takedown at a much higher rate.
When surrounded by enemies, the Secret War’s Arms Race power is great for keeping large groups of enemies locked down and stunned allowing you to maximize damage when they can’t fight back, or you can use the Stark Suit’s Spider-Bro to launch a super-charged Spider Drone to watch your back and unleash bursts of attacks on opponents. Finally, the Fear Itself Suit’s Quad Damage can let you tear through enemies with ease, and knock out regular thugs with just a few punches.

A lot of Suit Mods compliment these powers nicely: the Kinetic Power Cells and Webbed Striker will up your focus generation considerably between Battle Focus to keep healing and takedowns at a reliable pace, and you can combine that with the Full Charge Capacitors to deal more damage when over 100 health. The higher level you are, the more health you’ll have, and combining the capacitors with Quad Damage is downright deadly.
Finally, the Stormbolt Discharger may come late in the game, but it increases damage output by a lot more as long as you keep alternating between aerial attacks to build up a charge before slamming into the ground to electrify and stun large groups of opponents.
